Salt Rain

There we sat up
Another night in October.
New voices
Same old promises make.
In your laughter
I hear the saddest songs.
Salt rain pours.

The world will understand not
This love, this blinding heat.
How you and I simply fit.
And so we sit together
You and I
Hear the showers fall
Another October night.
Salt rain pours.

I think it’s over.
There’s no going on.
There are no easy answers.
My moans mortify us.
There’s no shame in silence.
An October prophecy fulfilled.
You drive me in the rain
I hear our hopes in the drops
Salt rain dissolves in delight.

About Bhumika's Boudoir

I love to laugh, and end up being a part of high drama and stormy emotion even when I don't pursue it. Being creative, and communicating with people get me going. I enjoy all the good things in life especially those that are slightly risque, and apologise little, if ever, for all that I do. Literature is a passion and so is music.
