I carry
the image of krishna
in my womb.

I birth
the future of krishna
in my thoughts.

I breathe life
to the reality of krishna
through my words.

I nurture
the passion of krishna
against my breast.

I am krishna’s friend and companion.
They call me his wife and scribe,
his lover, and devotee.
I am mother.
But they accuse me of being barren.

About Bhumika's Boudoir

I love to laugh, and end up being a part of high drama and stormy emotion even when I don't pursue it. Being creative, and communicating with people get me going. I enjoy all the good things in life especially those that are slightly risque, and apologise little, if ever, for all that I do. Literature is a passion and so is music.

I continue to love your anthology of poems to Krishna. Did you intentionally avoid placing an article or possessive pronoun before the word mother in the line,’I am mother’? The impact might be different with the word ‘our’.
